Here are the MVP Award vote totals
The MVP Awards were announced on Thursday night on MLB Network. First basemen José Abreu of the White Sox and Freddie Freeman of the Braves were named the winners in the American League and National League, respectively.
Below are point totals for the balloting for the Most Valuable Player Awards, as voted on by members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Ballots for each award were submitted before the start of the postseason from two writers in every city, based on the league covered.
The system rewards 14 points for first place, nine for second place, eight for third place, and so on, through one point for 10th place.
