Close ballgames were the story in this series that went six games, with the Phillies actually outscoring the Giants, 20-19. Three games were decided by one run, one by two, one by three and one by five.

Game 4 was the thriller, with the teams going back and forth at AT&T; Park until Juan Uribe delivered the game-winning sacrifice fly in the ninth inning off Philadelphia’s Roy Oswalt.

Tim Lincecum made three appearances (two starts) for the Giants, striking out 16 and scattering five earned runs on 12 hits over 14 1/3 innings.
