WASHINGTON -- Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos said he will have right ACL and meniscus surgery on Friday. He is expected to go through at least seven months of rehab after the surgery.
Ramos is traveling with the Nationals during the National League Division Series against the Dodgers, and he has kept a positive attitude.

Ramos hurt the knee on Sept. 26 trying to catch a high throw from first baseman Ryan Zimmerman. Before the injury, he was having the best season of his career, hitting .307 with 22 home runs and 80 RBIs. Manager Dusty Baker called him one of his best two-out hitters. With runners in scoring position and two outs, Ramos had a .288 batting average.
The Nationals showed their love for Ramos by having him throw out the first pitch before Game 1 of the NLDS. Ramos replaced Livan Hernandez during the ceremony after Hernandez declined the offer because of travel problems due to Hurricane Matthew. 
Ramos is a free agent after the season.
