Join us for Kids Opening Day at Nationals Park on Sunday, April 30, as we take on the Pittsburgh Pirates! Get ready for a fun day at the ballpark featuring caricature artists, balloon twisters, face painters, and of course, baseball! Gates open at 12:00pm for a 1:35pm first pitch. Stick around postgame for our first Kids Run the Bases of the season. We hope you will come out to kick off another great season of Washington Nationals Baseball!
*All kids ages 4-12 are invited to run the bases at Nationals Park after every Sunday afternoon home game, weather permitting. Please refer to the Kids Run the Bases section of the newsletter for more information.*
Kids Rally Cap Giveaway
Get ready for our Kids Rally Cap Giveaway presented by Harris Teeter, on Sunday, April 30 versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. The first 10,000 fans in attendance ages 12 and under will receive one rally cap. Gates open at 12:00pm.

Two membership options are available to provide kids age 4-12 an opportunity to enjoy member-only offers and exclusive experiences all season long!
MVP Membership: A premium membership that includes a gear bag and tons of member-only offers and exclusive experiences all season long for just $20
Rookie Membership: A basic entry-level membership available for FREE
Follow these simple steps to join the Jr. Nats Kids Club:
- Click on the Access Jr. Nats Kids Club Portal button.
- Sign into the Access Portal using your MLB Account credentials. If you do not have an account you can create one.
- Click on the Jr. Nats tab in the menu and add your Jr. Nats.

Kids Run the Bases
Lace up your shoes and get ready to run! All kids age 4-12 are invited to run the bases at Nationals Park after every Sunday afternoon home game, weather permitting. Kids will start their run at first base and they will be directed around the bases to home plate. Sliding into bases is prohibited. An adult must accompany each participating child to the field – adults will drop children off at first base and meet them near home plate. Please note that adults may not accompany children as they run the bases. One adult will be permitted onto the field per child participating in Kids Run the Bases.
The line for Kids Run the Bases forms outside the ballpark on the First Street sidewalk – participants should exit the ballpark through the right field gate and proceed to the line. The run will begin approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game and the event usually lasts about an hour. Jr. Nationals Kids Club members age 12 and under receive access to an exclusive line that goes onto the field first.

2023 Washington Nationals Youth Baseball and Softball Clinic
Join us for our 2023 Washington Nationals Youth Baseball and Softball Clinic presented by Inova Sports Medicine. Jr. Nats (ages 8-14) are invited to participate in our fundamental clinic with the Washington Nationals and Youth Baseball Academy coaching staff on Saturday, May 13. We will have 25 spots available for Jr. Nats, free of charge for your players.
- Parents can complete the registration form on behalf of their children using the link below
- Clinic is limited to the first 25 people to register (first come, first serve)
- Registration will close on May 10, or when the 25 participant capacity is reached (whichever happens first)
- Only kids between eight (8) and fourteen (14) are allowed to participate in this clinic
- Cleats are not permitted at the clinic
Jr. Nationals Kids Club membership is limited to children ages 4-12. To be eligible for any giveaway or experience associated with the Jr. Nationals Kids Club, a membership must be purchased online from the link on this webpage.
