Parking Information
The Nationals have a variety of parking options available to make it easy for fans to get to Nationals Park. All lots, including the GEICO Garage and Garage C will open 2 hours and 15 minutes prior to the start of each game. All Nationals parking garages and lots close 1 hour after the conclusion of each game. All Nationals parking garages and lots are managed by parking professionals. Tailgating is not permitted in Nationals parking garages and lots.
Upon entry to a Nationals affiliated parking garage/lot, please have your ticket available for scanning by a parking attendant. Please click below for assistance on how to digitally access your tickets via the MLB Ballpark app.
All Washington Nationals parking lots are now cashless, and will only accept credit card payment at this time. If interested in paying for parking upon arrival to the ballpark, please be aware that drive up parking is available on a game by game basis and is not available for all games. It is highly suggested that parking is purchased ahead of time prior to arrival at Nationals Park.
To help alleviate traffic around the ballpark, the Metropolitan Police Department will be implementing the same road closures and traffic patterns at the end of each home game that guests experienced in 2023. Following each game, all motorists who parked in the Geico Garage will be directed northbound on South Capitol Street toward I Street, with the option to travel north in the 3rd Street Tunnel or west on I-395 toward Virginia. All motorists who parked in Garage C will be directed southbound on South Capitol Street, across the Frederick Douglass Bridge, with the option to travel south on I-295, north on I-295, or east on Suitland Parkway.
The following roads will be closed from approximately the 8th inning through approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the game:
- First Street from M Street to Potomac Avenue, SE
- Potomac Avenue from South Capitol Street to First Street, SE
- Northbound South Capitol Street from Firth Sterling Avenue to M Street, SE
- Howard Road from Firth Sterling Avenue to Suitland Parkway, SE
- Southbound I-295 - Exit 4 (exit to Suitland Parkway or South Capitol Street)
If it becomes necessary for public safety and traffic mitigation, the following exit may be closed intermittently:
- Eastbound I-395 - Exit 1A (exit to South Capitol Street)
