Washington Nationals Bag Policy
Policy
Any bag larger than a 5” by 7” by ¾” clutch must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC. Fans with diaper or medical bags may use ADA/Family lanes. All bags are subject to search.
Binbox
Binbox is available for fans whose bags do not comply with ballpark regulations. Binbox will be positioned outside Right Field Gate and Home Plate Gate; they will be in position two hours prior to first pitch and will remain in position until one hour after last pitch. Guests may choose between a medium or a large locker to check their belongings for a small fee. Security personnel will be in position at both Binbox locations, and Binbox staff will be on site at each location to troubleshoot any website/app issues for purchases.
Permitted Bags
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 16” by 16” by 8” (e.g., clear tote bags, clear drawstring bags, one-gallon plastic freezer bag (i.e., Ziploc bag), etc.); provided, however that buckles, grommets, hardware or other décor may not conceal any part of the bag
- Small non-clear clutch bags measuring 5” by 7” by ¾” or smaller, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the ballpark with one of the clear plastic bag options described above
- Fans with diaper or medical bags may use ADA/Family lanes
Prohibited Bags
- Any non-clear bag larger than 5” by 7” by ¾”; provided, however, that on the day of purchase, non-clear bags larger than 5” by 7” by ¾” purchased during the game or event inside the Nationals Baseball Stadium Complex* will be tagged and permitted for that day only
- Backpacks (including, without limitation, clear backpacks); provided, however, that on the day of purchase, backpacks purchased during the game or event inside the Nationals Baseball Stadium Complex* will be tagged and permitted for that day only
- Soft-sided coolers, hard coolers or ice chests
- Non-clear Drawstring bags
- Luggage of any kind
- Computer bags
- Camera bags
- Any clear or non-clear bag larger than 16” by 16” by 8”
Exceptions may be made for diaper bags and other bags used for medical reasons. For season plan holders, these exceptions may be requested at all season plan holder gates.
*The Nationals Baseball Stadium Complex is defined in the Nationals Guest Conduct Policy as the area bounded by N Street SE, Potomac Avenue SE, South Capitol Street SE and First Street SE.
Prohibited Items
- Metal or glass containers of any kind
- Food items not in adherence to the following policy*
- Hard coolers or ice chests
- Backpacks
- Non-collapsible umbrellas that don’t fit in a bag of the maximum allowed size
- Brooms, poles and staffs of any kind
- Weapons* (including, without limitation, pocket knives), fireworks and other illegal substances
- Camera lenses in excess of eight inches, tripods, monopods and selfie sticks
- Animals (except service animals)
- Beach balls and other inflatable items
- Laser pens and laser pointers
- Baseball bats
- Alcohol not purchased at the Nationals Baseball Stadium Complex*
- Noisemakers not provided by the Nationals; This includes but is not limited to can-operated air horns, sirens, kazoos, whistles, and personal safety alarms. Note: Guests entering the ballpark with a personal safety alarm will be given the option of securing the device in their vehicle if they drove to the ballpark or securing it at one of the Binbox locations.
- Skateboards, hover boards, scooters for non-ADA use, and wheeled footwear
- Drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (including, without limitation, airborne drones which are prohibited by law)
- Self-defense sprays (including, without limitation, pepper spray and mace)
- Toy guns or toy knives (including, without limitation, water guns)
- Helmets*
- Any other item deemed dangerous or inappropriate or otherwise violating the Guest Conduct Policy
- *Food - Single-serving food items may be brought into the Nationals Baseball Stadium Complex, as long as they are contained in one of the approved bags under the Nationals then-current bag policy, or carried in your hands so the food items can be safely screened by security
*Helmets - any guest riding a bike, scooter or motorcycle to Nationals Park may check their helmet at our complimentary bike valet located in Garage C at the corner of N & 1st Street, SE. Access to the valet is on First Street just left of the vehicle entrance.
