Cleveland Guardians Announce 2024 American League Championship Series Festivities at Progressive Field; Encourage Fans to ‘Rock Your Red’

Jason Kipnis, Travis Hafner & Ryan Merritt to throw Ceremonial First Pitches

Cleveland, OH – The Cleveland Guardians today announced all festivities planned for the 2024 American League Championship Series at Progressive Field from October 17-19 (if necessary).

Fans attending the games are encouraged to ‘Rock Your Red’ at Progressive Field and take advantage of all the Postseason festivities happening around the ballpark.

Gateway Plaza will be activated before and during all three home games, as the Gateway Plaza stage will feature screens showing the games, a DJ, a host and giveaways for fans during inning breaks. Additionally, the plaza will feature a pregame band for each game, photo opportunities and more.

Due to the Gateway Plaza activations, all Progressive Field policies regarding permitted items will also be enforced for Gateway Plaza. Fans can find all permitted and prohibited items, here.

2024 ALCS Pregame Festivities

ALCS Game 3 – Thursday, October 17 at 5:08PM ET

  • National Anthem: Lt. Col. Scott Allen
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Jason Kipnis
  • Color Guard: Navy, Air Force/Space Force, Coast Guard, Army and Marines
  • On-field flag presentation
  • On-field pregame player intros
  • C130 flyover from the 910th Airlift Wing based at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station

ALCS Game 4 – Friday, October 18 at 8:08PM ET

  • National Anthem: Dan Polk
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Travis Hafner
  • Color Guard: Marines

ALCS Game 5 (if necessary) – Saturday, October 19 at 8:08PM ET

  • National Anthem: Kennedy Jones (Retired Cleveland Police Officer)
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Ryan Merritt
  • Color Guard: Army
