**MANAGING/COACHING CAREER** Combined to go 155-115 (.574) in two seasons as a Single- A manager in Toronto Blue Jays organization from 2011- 2012...Managed Single-A Dunedin in Florida State League in 2012...Led Blue Jays to 78-55 record and advanced to first round of FSL playoffs...Made managerial debut in 2011 with Single-A Lansing...Earned Midwest League Manager of the Year award for guiding Lugnuts to a 77-60 record and an appearance in Midwest League finals. **PLAYING CAREER** Played 13 seasons in the Major Leagues, including first seven with Marlins. Was originally signed by Florida as a non-drafted free agent on August 18, 1992...During career, threw out 27.8 percent of runners attempting to steal...Holds American League record for longest streak of total chances without an error (1,474) by a catcher...Streak was snapped on May 22, 2010, playing for Cleveland vs. Cincinnati. It was first error since moving to AL, after signing with Twins in 2005. Had not committed an error since July 20, 2004 at New York-NL, during final season with Marlins...Won 2005 Bob Allison Award, given by Minnesota Twins organization to player who exemplifies determination, hustle, tenacity, competitive spirit and leadership, both on and off field...Won 1999 Charlie Hough "Good Guy" Award, given by South Florida Chapter of Baseball Writers Association of America...Made Major League debut for Marlins on May 31, 1998 and went 3x3 with a home run at Milwaukee. Singled in his first two atbats, and hit a solo home run off of Scott Karl in third at-bat...Is one of just nine players since 1990 to go 3x3 or better in ML debut, and was one of only four to do so in 1990's, joining Dodgers' Mike Piazza (3x3 on September 1, 1992 at Chicago-NL), San Francisco's Ramon Martinez (3x3 on June 20, 1998 vs. San Diego) and Colorado's Derrick Gibson (4x4 on Sept. 8, 1998 vs. Florida) - STATS LLC. **PERSONAL/MISCELLANEOUS** Michael Patrick Redmond. Married to Michele, and they have two sons, Ryan Patrick (3/3/01) and Michael Andrew (9/23/02)...Graduated from Gonzaga (WA) Preparatory School in 1989 and went on to play baseball at Gonzaga University...Founded the "Red's Rally Caps" program in 2002, which helps give inspiration and strength to patients receiving cancer treatment.
