2017

Began the 2017 season with the Seattle Mariners, before being acquired by the Chicago Cubs on August 31...Hit safely in 12 straight games with Triple A Tacoma from July 15-27...batted .340 (17x50) with eight runs scored, three doubles, one triple, one home run and eight RBI during the streak...Posted a .333 (71x213) batting average with 41 runs scored, 16 doubles, three triples, seven home runs and 28 RBI in 51 games with Tacoma in June and July...Made his first career pitcing appearance in his Cubs debut on September 4 at Pittsburgh, allowing two runs in 0.2 innings...marked his first career pitching appearance...Notched his first hit and RBI with the Cubs on September 9 vs. Milwaukee, going 1x3 with a RBI double.

Led the A.L. with 17 bunt hits, 2nd most in the majors (20-Dee Gordon, LAD) and also ranked among the league leaders in infield hits (2nd, 32), CS (2nd, 12), stolen bases (T5th, 31), and triples (T8th, 7)...topped the Rangers in stolen bases and sacrifice hits (7), was 2nd in games (155), multi-hit games (40), and triples (tied), and placed 3rd in at bats (533), runs (68), hits (146), and batting average (.274)...established career bests for average, games, at bats, runs, hits, triples, and walks (39)...started 140 games in center and one as the DH.

2013

In first full major league season, led the American League with 11 bunt hits, was 2nd in sacrifice bunts (12), ranked 5th in stolen bases (36), tied for 6th in triples (6), and was 8th in infield hits (25)…was 2nd on the club in steals, tied for 3rd in games (147), was 4th in runs (66), and placed 5th in hits (119)… started 109 games in center, 11 in right, and 5 in left…his 14 outfield assists were the 3rd most for a Ranger in 22 years… his 109 starts in CF were most by a Ranger since Julio Borbon had 121 in 2010.

2012

Combined to hit .295 (89-302) with 4 home runs, 16 doubles, 5 triples, 53 runs scored, and 42 RBI in 73 games with the Arizona League Rangers, Frisco (AA), and Round Rock (AAA)... had composite figures of .362 on-base pct. and .421 slugging pct....was 19-for-30 (63.3%) on stolen base attempts...after signing in May, was sent to the Rangers' minor league complex in Surprise, AZ for several days of workouts before assignment to Frisco on May 10.

2010

Played for Cuba's national team during the FISU World University Championships in July and August of 2010 in Taiwan.

2009

Played for Cuba in the 2009 World Port Tournament at Rotterdam, The Netherlands, hitting .310 with 7 RBI...was Cuba's 4th outfielder in the 2009 World Baseball Classic, going 2-for-7 with 3 runs scored while appearing 5 of team's 6 total games in Mexico City and San Diego.
