Kevin Patrick Reese and his wife, Laura (11/11/05), have a son, Jackson Patrick (4/8/06)...signed by Tim McWilliam...was a two-time all-West Coast Conference first team selection as well as the University of San Diego team MVP in 1999 and 2000...holds the team record for most career hits (279)...also ranks second in University of San Diego history with 41 HR and 185 RBI and third in runs scored (183)...led the team in batting three straight years (.379 in 1998, .372 in 1999 and .385 in 2000)...led the West Coast Conference in hits in 1998 (88)...was named to the West Coast Conference 40th Anniversary All-Conference team in 2007...is an avid San Diego Chargers football fan.

In two stints with the Yankees, appeared in 10 games and batted .417 (5-for-12) with 2R, 1RBI and 1BB...spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Columbus, batting .283 (60-for-212) with 5 HR and 21 RBI in 53 games...in the Clippers' first game of the year on 4/6 vs. Scranton-WB, drove in a season-high three runs (was 2-for-2 with 1 triple)...hit in a season-high 13 straight games from 4/16-5/1, hitting .340 (18-for-53) during the streak...was first recalled from Columbus prior to game on 5/12 vs. Oakland...Made his season debut on 5/18 vs. Texas, entering game in the fifth as a pinch-runner and remaining in game in LF...went 0-for-2 in the loss...collected his first Major-League hit in 5/20 win at NY Mets, pinch-hitting for Mussina in the eighth inning and singling off Duaner Sanchez...was 2-for-5 with 1R in five games before being optioned back to Columbus on 5/24...collected a season-high four hits with the Clippers on 6/6 at Ottawa, going 4-for-5 with 1 double, 1HR and 2RBI...Was recalled from Columbus for a second stint prior to 6/20 game at Philadelphia...started that night in LF and recorded his first Major-League RBI with a run-scoring single in the fourth inning...was 1-for-2 before being removed for PH in sixth inning...was optioned to Columbus on 7/6...played in four games before suffering separated right shoulder in game on 7/13 at Durham...spent the remainder of the season on the disabled list.

Played in 133 games with Triple-A Columbus, batting .276 (149-for-540) with 92R, 14HR, 69RBI and 16SB ... tied minor-league career-highs with seven triples and his 14 HR ... led the International League with 38 doubles, ranked third in runs, tied for fourth with 59 extra-base hits, and was fifth in hits ... led all Yankees minor-leaguers in hits and was second in runs ... enjoyed three hitting streaks of at least 10 games ... reached base safely in the first 22 games of the season (4/7-29), establishing a single-season career high ... also reached base safely in 25 straight road games from 6/5-7/19 ... tied a team-high with his 14-game hitting streak from 6/9-24, batting .362 (21-for-58) with 2HR and 11RBI during the stretch ... had contract purchased by the Yankees on 6/26 and made Major League debut that night starting in left field vs. New York Mets (was 0-for-1 with 1BB) ... appeared in two games with the Yankees (0-for-1) before being optioned back to Columbus on 6/29 ... tied a career high with three stolen bases on 7/14 vs. Scranton.

Split time between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Columbus, combining to hit .308 (168-for-546) with 98R, 50 doubles, 14HR, 68RBI and 17SB in 131 games ... led all Yankees' minor-leaguers and ranked third among all minor-leaguers with his 50 doubles ... began the season at Trenton and hit .298 (98-for-329) with 6HR and 40RBI ... collected 37 doubles in just 78 games for the Thunder, establishing a franchise record (established in 2000 by Shea Hillenbrand) while ranking third in the Eastern League ... hit two home runs in a game for the second time in his minor-league career and was 3-for-5 with 5RBI on 4/17 at New Hampshire ... had a season-high 11-game hitting streak from 6/1-13, batting .400 (18-for-45) with 8RBI ... was named to the Eastern League All-Star Team ... in 53 games with Columbus, batted .323 (70-for-217) with 13 doubles, 8HR and 28RBI ... hit safely in his first 11 games with the Clippers from 7/4-17, batting .361 (17-for-47) with 14R, 4HR and 11RBI during the stretch ... also hit in 18 of his first 19 games.
