Named 2016-17 Gatorade Hawaii Baseball Player of the Year, going 5-1 with a 1.24 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 45.2 innings for the Surfriders...Was committed to the Univ. of Kentucky prior to signing with SD...Favorite baseball memory is winning conf. title his jr. year of HS...Grew up NY Giants and LA Dodgers fan, favorite players were Peyton Manning and Clayton Kershaw...Enjoys hiking and surfing.

Combined 4.07 ERA in 26 games/24GS between Akron and Columbus, tossing a career-high 119.1 IP and pitched in the SiriusXM Futures Game...Led system in SO (146) and was third in IP...Promoted from Akron on May 18...Enjoyed a solid six start stretch at Triple-A, Aug. 4-Sept. 2, posting a 3-1 mark with a 2.84 ERA (10ER/31.2IP)...Averaged 11.0K per 9.0IP on the year...Had seven outings with at least four walks and struck out 13 on May 3 vs. Portland (5.0 IP).

2022

Was dominant over his 14 outings (13 starts), posting a 1.93 ERA at AA Akron (60.2IP, 38H, 13ER, 87SO, .187 avg) and was named to the Eastern League Postseason All-Star Team…Was limited to 60.2 due to a left shoulder strain and did not pitch after July 30...Combined over the last three years he has thrown 73.2 innings…After posting a 5.73 ERA over his first three April starts (7ER/11.0IP), posted 22.0 scoreless May innings (10H, 4BB, 33SO)…Also did not pitch from June 30-July 29 due to shoulder fatigue, made one start on July 30 vs. Harrisburg (3.0IP, 1H, 0R) and was shut down for the season...Rehabbed at Lake County Alt. Site in October...Double-A left-handed hitters were just 6-for-53 (.113) off him with one XBH…On the year he averaged 12.9 SO/9 IP...Entered the season as 24th-rated prospect in the system (MLB Pipeline)…Added to 40-man roster on Nov. 15.

Suffered a fractured rib on his right side in Depth Camp in February and his season was delayed until mid-August, beginning a rehab stint in the ACL on 8/20...Activated from the Injured List at AA Akron on Aug. 31, making five appearances.
