Colten began Spring Training in 2023 with the Tampa Bay Rays, before being traded to the New York Yankees March 30 for cash...Signed a Major League contract with the Yankees on April 1 and selected to the active roster...Made his Yankees debut April 2 vs. San Francisco, tossing two scoreless innings in relief...Tossed 3.1 innings of relief April 13 vs. Minnesota, the longest appearance of his career as a reliever...Was designated for assignment April 14 and outrighted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre April 17...Made 15 appearances (two starts) with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, posting a 1.35 ERA (3 ER/20.0 IP)...Was on the injured list April 24-May 2 with a lumbar spine strain...Was released July 7 and signed with Hanshin in Japan...Went 0-1 with a 2.38 ERA (3 ER/11.1 IP) in 13 games with Hanshin to finish the season.

Signed by the Royals on Jan 23…made 36 appearances with Triple-A Omaha, going 1-1 with a 4.76 ERA and one save prior to his release on Aug 3.

2021

Appeared in one game for Boston, allowing four runs in 1.0 IP at Houston on May 31...Made 11 relief appearances for Triple-A Worcester, posting a 4.00 ERA in 18.0 innings...Pitched in four games (1 start) for the GCL Red Sox, striking out nine batters over 7.1 innings...Declared free agency Nov. 8.

2020

Made his second career Opening Day roster (also 2019 with the Red Sox)...Missed all of September on the Injured List with a right middle finger strain...Made four starts and seven relief appearances...those were the first ML starts of his career. Posted a 3.97 ERA in relief (5 ER/11.1 IP) and a 6.91 ERA as a starter (11 ER/14.1 IP). Held LHH to a .234 AVG (11-for-47).

2019

Made his 1st career Opening Day roster in his debut season in the Red Sox organization. Appeared in a career-high 58 games over 3 stints with BOS...Also appeared in 9 games for Triple-A Pawtucket. Of his 58 appearances for BOS, 43 were scoreless (74%). Stranded 26 of his team-leading 38 inherited runners (68.4%; T-16th in AL). Posted a 2.84 ERA (10 ER/31.2 IP) over his final 37 appearances (beginning on 6/6) after having a 5.87 ERA (15 ER/23.0 IP) over his first 21 games through 5/29. 2019 Season Timeline: Made his Red Sox debut on 3/29 at SEA, throwing a scoreless inning in the Sox' 1st win of the season. Earned his 1st win as a Red Sox on 6/6 at KC. Did not give up a run in his first 10 outings and 15.1 IP from 4/8- 5/10 between Tampa and Trenton, posting a 21-to-2 strikeoutto-walk ratio while limiting opposing hitters to a .145 average... Promoted to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on 5/14 and had two other stints with the RailRiders...allowed nine earned runs in his five outings and 9.1 IP (8.68 ERA) from 5/14-29 between Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and Trenton...allowed just 10 ER and tossed scoreless outings in 21 of his 26 remaining appearances and 36.0 IP (2.50 ERA) from 5/31 to 9/3 between the two affiliates... Surrendered just two home runs all season.
