Began the season with Triple-A Oklahoma before being promoted to the Dodgers ahead of his Major League debut May 23... With the Dodgers, finished the season with a 11-4 record with a 3.76 ERA (52 ER/124.1 IP) in 22 starts…held batters to a .226 average...Picked up the win in his Major League debut against Atlanta on May 23 after spinning five innings and giving up four hits, one run and one walk while striking out five...recorded his first career strikeout in the second inning (Sam Hilliard, three pitches)...With his win against the Mariners on September 15, became the first American-born Dodger rookie starting pitcher to record double digit wins in a season since Tim Belcher in 1988... Spent a majority of the season with Double-A Tulsa (20 G, 19 GS) before being called up to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Aug. 16 (four GS), garnering a combined 7-7 record and a 4.25 ERA (53 ER/112.1 IP) in 24 games...With Double-A Tulsa, notched a 6-6 record with a 4.45 ERA (45 ER/91.1 IP) in 20 games (19 starts), including 117 strikeouts and a 1.20 WHIP...Was selected to the 2022 All-Star Futures Game with Double-A Tulsa where he started the game, punching out three of the five batters he faced…gave up one hit and one walk in one inning pitched...With Triple-A Oklahoma City, registered a 1-1 record with a 3.38 ERA (8 ER/21.1 IP) in four starts…fanned 28 strikeouts and held batters to a .218 average...Started in the Dodgers’ final exhibition Spring Training game vs. the Angels and pitched three innings, only giving up one hit, two walks and striking out two...Relinquished five hits or less in 15 of his 20 appearances and never gave up more than three walks per game...Was even against righties and lefties, limiting them to .234 and .209 averages respectively Struck out a career-high 14 batters in six innings vs. Round Rock on Sept. 1 with Triple-A Oklahoma City, including eight strikeouts in a row...struck out nine with Double-A Tulsa on July 10, only giving up one hit, one walk, and two runs in five innings…in July with Double-A Tulsa, went 2-1 in four starts with a 2.75 ERA (6 ER/19.2 IP) while limiting batters to a .178 batting average…recorded a season WHIP of 1.18.

Southpaw saw action in his first professional season across two levels, Single-A Great Lakes and Double-A Tulsa...With Single-A Great Lakes, he posted a 2-2 record over 14 games (11 starts) with a 1.91 ERA (10 ER/47.0 IP) paired with 56 strikeouts…held hitters to a .178 average...Started three games with Double-A Tulsa, going 0-0 with a 4.82 ERA (5 ER/9.1 IP) and 14 strikeouts against just two walks...Earned his first win on July 4, 2021 at Fort Wayne, pitching in relief for 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run on three hits and a walk, striking out five...Recorded his first professional strikeout on May 4, 2021 against Dayton, sitting down Michael Siani on three straight strikes...Struck out eight hitters in his start on Sept. 19 against Midland, pitching 3.2 innings of one-run ball while not factoring in the decision...Was strong against both left-handed and right-handed hitters, limiting them to a .139 and .211 average respectively...Spent the fall with the Glendale Desert Dogs as part of the Arizona Fall League, going 0-1 over five games (three starts) with a 9.90 ERA (11 ER/10.0 IP)…was named an AFL Rising Star.
