Spent entire season at the Major League level, splitting time between the bullpen and rotation and was an invaluable member of the pitching staff, filling a variety of roles throughout the campaign (finished fifth on the team in innings)...Recorded a season/career-high 5.0 IP in his first career relief outing on Apr. 3 at Oakland... Was the first CLE reliever since Bryan Bullington on Sept. 9, 2008 to work 5.0+ IP, allow three-or-fewer hits and zero walks in an outing...Recorded his first ML win on May 28 vs. St. Louis...His first 23 outings came in relief thru July 15, posting a 3.04 ERA (16ER/47.1IP) before making three spot starts in July, the first of which coming on July 17 at Pittsburgh (3.0IP, 1H, 0R)...On the year as a starter he was 0-3 with a 5.24 ERA in 9GS (20ER/34.1IP)... Reached Major Leagues in just his second professional season, splitting the majority of the campaign between AA Akron and AAA Columbus, going 9-4 with 4.06 ERA in 25 G/21 GS (122.0IP, 106H, 55ER, 42BB, 134SO, .229 avg)…Began year at Akron, promoted to Columbus on Aug. 16...his 4.21 strikeout-to-walk ratio (80SO, 19BB) ranked seventh in the AA Eastern League (min. 60.0IP) at the time of his call-up...For the year he was T-fifth in the system in innings…Enjoyed a pair of double-digit SO games, including 12 on June 10 at Somerset...Made his ML debut as the 27th player on Aug. 15 vs. Detroit (Game 2), earning a ND in his first start (5.0IP, 8H, 3R/ER, 1BB, 3SO)…Also made a spot start on Sept. 3 vs. Seattle (L, 4.1IP, 5H, 4R/3ER, 5BB, 0SO) after injuries to Zach Plesac and Aaron Civale.

Spent first pro season for Low-A Lynchburg, High-A Lake County and AA Akron...Went 8-1 with a 2.30 ERA (25ER/97.2IP) across all levels...Finished the season leading the CLE Development System in WHIP (0.89), while ranking 2nd in opp. avg. (.196) and ERA.
