Made his Major League debut with San Francisco after the Giants selected him in the 2019 Rule 5 Draft from the Blue Jays organization…posted a 6.75 ERA and .200 opponents batting average in two relief appearances before he was designated for assignment July 30…was returned to Toronto Aug. 2 and did not pitch the remainder of the season…made his debut on Opening Day at Los Angeles (NL) on July 23 (0.1 ip, 1 h, 1 r, 1 er, 3 bb, 1 so)…entered the game in the seventh inning with a runner on second, two outs and the Giants trailing 4-1…allowed the inherited runner to score plus one of his own…struck out Mookie Betts to end the inning for his first strikeout…prior to that, had never pitched above Double-A…also pitched on July 28 against San Diego and retired the side in order in the ninth inning…played for Licey in the Dominican Winter League following the season and was 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA and .182 opponents batting average in 10 relief appearances… struck out 15 in 9.0 innings but walked six.

Had a breakout 2019 campaign while splitting the year between Class-A Advanced Dunedin and Double-A New Hampshire in the Blue Jays farm system... Posted a 1.87 ERA with 46 strikeouts in 33.2 innings following a mid-June promotion to Double-A... The Giants selected him in the Major League phase of the Rule 5 draft from Toronto.

Spent the entire season at Single-A Lansing and was 6-2 with a career-high 13 saves and a 3.84 ERA in 38 relief appearances…also had career highs in innings pitched (63.1), hits (58), runs (30), earned runs (27), walks (24) and home runs (10)…struck out 80, an average of 11.37. per nine innings…finished second in the Toronto farm system and fifth in the Midwest League in saves…was named to the ML Midseason All-Star team…had a .237 opponents batting average, which broke down to .200 against left-handed hitters compared to .256 against right-handers… yielded a .197 average with runners in scoring position…tossed at least one inning in 36 of his 38 appearances, including two or more 18 times…logged a season-high 3.0 innings six times… allowed 10 of his 30 runs in the first two games of the season…had a 2.69 ERA over his final 36 games beginning April 17…posted a 1.59 ERA and .179 opponents batting average in eight relief appearances in May…pitched for the East team in the ML All-Star Game on June 19 (0.1 ip, 1 so)… struck out a season-high seven batters in 3.0 scoreless innings on July 27 at South Bend…did not allow a run over five outings from Aug. 12 to 27 (10.0 ip)…logged a 0.69 ERA, a .186 opponents average and five saves in seven games in August…was placed on the disabled list Sept. 5 with right elbow capsulitis and missed the remainder of the season…made one appearance for Licey in the Dominican Winter League postseason (1.0 ip).

Began the season in extended spring training but joined Short Season Vancouver when its season started in June…spent most of the season with the Canadians where he went 2-3 with a 6.30 ERA in six games, including three starts…also had a one-game stint with the Blue Jays affiliate in the Gulf Coast League on Aug. 21 (1.0 ip, 1 h, 2 r, 1 er, 1 so)…combined for a 5.49 ERA overall…struck out 24 and walked just four in 19.2 innings…allowed a .184 opponents batting average, which broke down to .115 against left-handed hitters compared to .220 against righthanders…opponents were 1-for-19 (.053) with two walks (.143 on-base percentage) when leading off an inning…struck out a career-high nine batters June 25 against Spokane…did not allow a run in one postseason appearance (0.2 ip, 1 h, 1 so).
