Ryan Christian Yarbrough…Ryan and his wife, Nicole, have two daughters, Harper, who was born in October 2021, and Charleigh, in September 2023…he was selected by Seattle in the 4th round of the 2014 Draft out of Old Dominion…he spent two years at Santa Fe College (Fla.) before transferring...he was originally selected by Milwaukee in the 20th round of the 2013 Draft, but returned to ODU for his senior season.

2023

Signed by the Kansas City Royals as a free agent on Dec. 13, 2022... With the Royals, notched a 4-5 record with a 4.24 ERA (24 ER/51.0 IP) with 29 strikeouts against nine walks in 14 games (seven starts)...Made rehab outings with ACL Royals and Triple-A Omaha, tossing a combined 0-1 record in four games with a 2.55 ERA (5 ER/17.2 IP) with a 0.91 WHIP... Traded to the Dodgers on Aug. 1 where he fired a 4-2 record with a 4.24 ERA (24 ER/51.0 IP) in 11 outings (two starts)...Recorded his first career save on Aug. 15 against Milwaukee, spinning three one-run innings, giving up one hit and striking out two.

2022

Yarbrough had four stints with the Rays in 2022 but also had two stints on the Injured List…he was placed on the IL before making an appearance with left groin tightness and ended the season on the IL with a right oblique strain... He made his fifth consecutive Opening Day roster in 2022 and was originally announced as the Rays fifth starter…he was placed on the IL with left groin tightness on April 11, retroactive to April 8, and missed 23 games before making his season debut on May 3... On May 26 vs. the Yankees, Yarbrough took a no-hitter into the 6th inning, when he began the frame with a hit batter and back-to-back singles... Over his first eight appearances (6 starts), he went 0-4 with a 5.82 ERA (22 ER in 34.0 IP)…but over his final two stints with the Rays, from July 16-Sept. 22, he went 3-4 with a 3.52 ERA (18 ER in 46.0 IP) in 12 outings (three starts).

2021

McClanahan (124.2), but his seven losses and 5.11 ERA were both career highs…yielded a career-high 25 HR, most on the team…min. 150 IP, led the majors with a 1.57 BB/9 IP ratio and ranked sixth in the AL with a 4.33 SO/BB ratio...
