Spent majority of season with Triple-A Indianapolis, where he made 28 starts at shortstop, 19 at third base, nine at second base, six in left field and two in right field...Was recalled a first time by Pittsburgh on April 16...Went 8-for-37 (.216) with two homers and six RBI in 16 games with the Pirates before being optioned back to Indianapolis on May 19...Was recalled again by the Pirates on June 29...Optioned back to Triple-A on July 23 and spent remainder of season with the Indians...Made a total of eight starts at second base and three at shortstop with Pittsburgh...Went 8-for-40 (.200) with two home runs and seven RBI in his 11 starts with the Pirates (club went 8-3).
