2014 First-Round pick (14th) spent the majority of his career in the San Francisco Giants system (2014-22), debuting with the club in 2018 and going on to make 33 appearances/24 starts for the Giants thru 2022 before finishing that season with the Pirates...Signed with the Yomiuri Giants of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball for the 2023 season, posting a 3.99 ERA (22ER/49.2IP) in 30 games...Was the club's Opening Day starter, becoming the first non-Japanese pitcher in his first year to serve as the Opening Day starter for Yomiuri (started game due to injury to expected starter).
2022
Went 1-4 with a 6.05 ERA...Served primarily as a long reliever for San Francisco and Pittsburgh, throwing two-or-more innings in 16 of his 26 relief appearances...Made five spot starts for Pittsburgh, all in August, highlighted by 3.2 shutout innings at Arizona on 8/8...Induced a career-high 49.0% groundball rate.

Began the season on the 60-day injured list while recovering from Tommy John surgery...Started his rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Sacramento on May 6...made 12 rehab starts with the River Cats and went 0-3 with a 6.56 ERA (26er, 35.2ip) with 32 walks and 40 strikeouts...Activated from the 60-day IL on July 6 and appeared in one game for SF (July 10)...Optioned back to Triple-A on July 11 and made four more starts before landing on the IL with a lower back strain...did not pitch the rest of the season.

Rookie right-hander completed his first full season in a Giants uniform, going 5-10 with a 5.08 ERA (66er, 117.0ip) in 24 games (22 starts)...Among NL rookie leaders he ranked sixth in innings pitched and games started and seventh in strikeouts…his 113 strikeouts were the third-most by a Giants rookie since 2010 behind Chris Heston (141 strikeouts in 2015) and Andrew Suarez (130 in 2018)... Started the season at Triple-A Sacramento and went 1-1 with a 1.99 ERA (5er, 22.2ip) in five starts before being recalled on May 3…at the time of his promotion was ranked among the PCL leaders in ERA (sixth), strikeouts (fifth, 34), WHIP (fifth, 1.06) and opponents' batting average against (fourth, .179)…started May 3 at Cincinnati and was touched for a career-high eight runs on seven hits in just 2.1 innings…gave up a pair of three-run homers to Derek Dietrich...was optioned back to Triple-A the next day (May 4)... Recalled a second time on May 9, replacing LHP Drew Pomeranz (IL) and appeared in two games before being optioned May 14... Earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University on May 10... Recalled for a third time May 30 and started that day at Miami…recorded his first big league hit with a single to left field off RHP Sandy Alcantara... Earned his first Major League win in what was his ninth appearance and seventh start on June 17 at Los Angeles-NL...became just the fourth Giants pitcher to earn his first big league win in a start at Dodger Stadium, joining Shawn Estes (July 13, 1996), Larry Carter (September 11, 1992) and John Burkett (April 30, 1990)... Had his best Major League start on July 2 at San Diego, tossing a career-best 7.0 innings and allowing one run...was pitching three days after his stepfather passed away of cancer in Massachusetts at 52...Andrew Rivers III had been married to Beede's mother, Cheryl, for 20 years...was optioned to Triple-A after the game because he was not scheduled to pitch again until July 14 due to the All-Star break... Recalled from Double-A Richmond on July 14 and started that day at Milwaukee where he tossed 6.2 innings and allowed three runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts...also recorded his first career two-hit game and drove in his first career run, a go-ahead run-scoring single in the 7th... Tossed a career-best 8.0-scoreless innings in his start July 19 vs. New York-NL...matched up with 2018 Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom...threw 62 of his 89 pitches for strikes...it was just the fourth time in the past 30 years that a Giants pitcher threw fewer than 90 pitches and went 8.0 innings or longer ... Was removed in the 4th inning from his final start of the season on September 26 vs. Colorado after an MRI revealed he suffered a mild strain of his left oblique...he had not allowed a hit and struck out seven of his 11 hitters.

Spent the majority of his fifth professional campaign with triple-A Sacramento but also appeared in two games at the Major League level with San Francisco, appearing in two games in April...Was added to the Giants' "taxi squad" on April 9 to participate in pre-game warmups but could not dress for the game...Recalled April 10 as the Giants needed a fifth starter... made his Major League debut that night against Arizona and received a no decision, tossing 4.0 innings and allowing two runs on three hits with five walks and three strikeouts...Made one more start on April 15 at San Diego and allowed five runs in 3.2 innings of work...was optioned to triple-A Sacramento following the start...Was recalled a second time on May 30 to replace RHP Jeff Samardzija...was placed in the bullpen as the Giants concluded a three-game series at Colorado, but did not appear in a game...Posted a 4-9 record with a 7.05 ERA (58er, 74.0ip) in 33 games (10 starts) with triple-A Sacramento...was moved to the bullpen full-time in mid-June after posting a 2-7 record with a 7.28 ERA (38er, 47.0ip) in 10 games as a starter.

Posted a 6-7 record with a 4.79 ERA (58er, 109.0ip) in 19 starts for triple-A Sacramento...Suffered a strained groin while warming up at Tacoma and had to be scratched from what would have been his 20th start of the season with Sacramento...missed the remainder of the season...Played for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League and went 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA (8er, 16.0ip) in four starts...finished his Arizona Fall League campaign on a high note, allowing two earned runs on six hits over 5.0 innings en route to a no-decision in his final AFL start.
2016
After struggling to a 5.23 ERA in 13 mid-season and late-season starts in the Eastern League in 2015, Beede led the circuit in 2016 with a 2.81 ERA and was second with 135 strikeouts and 46 walks over 147.1 innings...Was named to the mid-season All-Star team for the second-straight season...Was selected as the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the period of Aug. 29-Sept. 5...had a 2-0 record with 13 strikeouts and a 0.60 ERA...On Aug. 29 against visiting Hartford, he pitched a two-hit shutout in Richmond's 4-0 victory...he tied his career high with 11 strikeouts and walked just one batter while throwing his first complete game of his career...Twice carried a perfect game into the sixth inning, first on June 2 vs. Bowie and again on June 29 against Akron...Was a non-roster invitee to Giants' big league camp.
2015
Made nine starts for San Jose (A), posting a 2-2 record with a 2.24 ERA (13er, 52.1ip)...Struggled with Richmond (AA), going 3-8 with a 5.23 ERA (42, 72.1ip) in 13 starts...Was named to the California League Mid-Season All-Star team...Ranked as SF's second-best prospect according to Baseball America entering the 2016 season.
