Full name is Wilmer Francisco Difo (Dee-foh)…often practiced without a glove growing up…was eventually given one by one of his mother’s clients at her salon…caught the eye of Nationals scout Modesto Ulloa after Difo volunteered to catch bullpen sessions following the workout.

Appeared in just three games for the Diamondbacks (0-for-6)…spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Reno, hitting .269 (75-for-279) with 33 R, 15 doubles, seven HR, 43 RBI, 20 BB and four SB in 72 games…played in two rehab games with Rookie-level ACL Diamondbacks (1-for-4, 2BB)……was designated for assignment on 9/12… following the season, played for the Aguilas Cibaeñas in the Dominican Winter League.
