Spent time with three different organizations, opening the year with Washington, before signing minor league contracts with Detroit (June 29) and the New York Yankees (Aug. 18) ... Made a combined 22 Major League appearances between Washington and Detroit ... Placed on the 10-day Injured List (viral infection) on April 26…reinstated on June 8 after a 10-game rehab assignment with Harrisburg (AAA)…released on June 23 ... Signed by the Tigers on June 29 and made six appearances with Toledo (AAA), before being recalled on July 15… designated for assignment on Aug. 8 ... Signed by the Yankees on Aug. 18, but made just one appearance with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, allowing four runs in 0.1-inning to Buffalo.

In his final year with St. Louis, went 3-4 with a 3.40 ERA (18 ER in 47.2 IP), converting 11-of-13 (84.6%) of save opportunities ... Among Major League relievers, his 14.35 K/9 (76 K) ranked fifth (min. 45.0 IP), trailing Craig Kimbrel (16.43), Dellin Betances (15.08), Corey Knebel (14.92) and Kenley Jansen (14.36) ... Averaged 97.4 MPH on his fastball,ranking 5th among all MLB pitchers. Posted scoreless outings in 15-of-19 appearances; struck out 25 batters in 22.2 innings. Had a season high of 3.0 innings in relief at PIT(8/29) allowing one hit with three strikeouts.
