Spent the season at Class AAA Albuquerque, where he made 12 starts and 24 relief apps...following the season pitched for Glendale in the prestigious Arizona Fall League (7g, 6gs, 2-3, 3.96, 25ip, 21h, 14bb, 21k)...on 12/2 was traded to the Reds in exchange for OF Chris Heisey.
2013
Saw his first MLB action, going 0-2 with a 6.51 ERA (20 ER/27.2 IP) in six starts during three stints with the Dodgers this season... Made his Major League debut on April 27 vs. Milwaukee and allowed just two runs and four hits in 6.2 innings in a no decision... Struck out a season-high eight batters and allowed just one run in just 5.0 innings on May 19 at Atlanta... Went 6-2 with a 3.47 ERA in 18 games (16 starts) for Triple-A Albuquerque…fanned 101 batters in 85.2 innings pitched... With Albuquerque, limited opponents to a .238 batting average... Following the season, pitched for Indios de Mayaguez in the Puerto Rican Winter League.

Tied for the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga team lead with 11 wins and led the club with 139.1 innings pitched. Got off to a hot start, going 3-0 with a 1.64 ERA (4 ER/22.0 IP) in four April games (three starts). Won the Dodger Pride Award for July, posting a 3-0 record with a 2.36 ERA (7 ER/26.2 IP) in four starts. Ranked second on the Quakes with 126 strikeouts.
