Started 24 consecutive games (June 10-July 6) at 2B while rookie Jedd Gyorko was on DL... Started only 2 of the Padres final 23 games as the plantar fasciitis resurfaced, but entered 9 games as a pinch-hitter... Was one of only six major league players to appear in 10 games or more at four different positions in 2013, joining teammate Alexi Amarista, PHI Freddy Galvis, DET Don Kelly, NYM Justin Turner and LAD Skip Schumaker... 2012

Set career-highs in nearly every offensive category, including games played (91), batting average (.273), hits (86), doubles (13), triples (three), home runs (six), RBI (26), runs (45), walks (28) and stolen bases (eight). Began the season on the DL after undergoing surgery on his left foot during Spring Training. Hit .259 (15-for-58) over 16 games on a rehab assignment with Triple-ATucson before being reinstated from the 60-day DL on 6/3. After being reinstated, started with a six-game hit streak for SD, hitting .409 (9-for-22) over his first six games. Hit .304 (31-for-102) over his first 30 games for SD from 6/3-7/16, before hitting .158 (9-for-57) over his next 19 games from 7/17-8/6 and finishing the year hitting .295 (46-for-156) over his final 42 games from 8/7-10/2. Over 23 games in September, hit .311 (28-for-90) with 22 runs scored. Off left-handed pitching, hit .384 (38-for-99) while hitting .222 (48-for-216) against right-handers. Hit the first Major League home run on 6/5 vs. SF, a walkoff solo home run off of Giants pitcher Steve Edlefsen... became the fourth Padre to hit a walkoff home run for his first career homer, and the third to do so against the Giants (also, Craig Lefferts on 4/25/86 and Benito Santiago on 9/17/86)...only other Padre with a walkoff homer for his first career home run was Paul McAnulty on 9/6/06 (ELIAS). Hit his first career pinch-hit home run in the bottom of the eighth inning on 7/5 vs. CIN, his second career homer, to tie the game at 1-1 before the Padres 2-1 victory in nine innings over the Reds. Made 76 starts total for the Padres, including 73 at 2B, two at SS and one at 3B...his start at SS on 8/13 at ATL was the first of his career.

2011

Started the season at Triple-A Tucson before spending the majority of the year with the Padres as part of his Major League debut...Originally had his contract selected by the Padres on 5/4 and made his Big League debut that day as a pinch-hitter...made three seperate stints with the Padres...optioned back to Tucson 5/17...recalled for his second stint 5/27 and optioned back 6/19...recalled for the final time 7/16 and spent the remainder of the season in the Majors...Collected his first Big League hit during his second trip to the Majors, 5/28 at WSH...Hit .308 (12-for-39) with runners in scoring position...Made 36 starts in the Majors, splitting his time between third base (21 starts) and second base (15 starts)...Season was cut short due to arthroscopic surgery on his left knee 9/8...Split his playing time at Tucson between second base (27 games), third base (17 games) and shortstop (four games).

2010

Played the entire season with Double-A San Antonio, moving to second base for the first time in his professional career. ... Ranked among Texas League leaders in walks (1st, 75) and on-base percentage (6th, .377). ... Batted .316 (62-for-196) with 14 doubles, one triple, two home runs and 26 RBI in 52 road games. ... Limited to 14 games in April and just three in May after suffering a broken right hand. ... Placed on the disabled list 4/24...returned to action 5/29. ... Had 26 multi-hit games...notched a season-high four hits on 8/5 vs. Corpus Christi.

2009

Split the season between Single-A Lake Elsinore and Double-A San Antonio, appearing in 66 games with each club...Entered the season ranked as the No. 11 prospect in the Padres organization by Baseball America...Combined to hit .296 (142-for-480) with 22 doubles, six triples, 11 home runs, 61 RBI, 83 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 132 games...Posted a .504 slugging percentage at Lake Elsinore along with a .472 on-base percentage...Hit safely in 50 of his 66 games with the Storm, including 20 multi-hit efforts.
