National League rookies in at-bats (572) and hits (156), ranked third in runs and walks, and tied
for third in home runs ... He became the second Marlins rookie to bat over .300 in the first half of the season, joining Dan
Uggla (.307) who did so in 2006. He is the third Marlins rookie to record 90+ hits in the first half,
while his 21 doubles were the second-most (Mike Jacobs, 24 in 2006) ... Named the Gillette presents National League Rookie of the Month in June. He led all NL rookies
with 39 hits, 16 runs scored, two triples and a .587 slugging percentage ... Hit in a career-best eight straight games from June 16-24. Over the streak, hit .472 (17x36) with
three doubles, a triple, one home run and six RBI. Equaled the mark from June 28 to July 6 and
July 17-25 ... Tallied two home runs on June 11 at Tampa Bay, marking his first career multi-home run game.
Also drove in a career-best six runs. The six RBI matched the 2010 single-game high for a rookie,
a feat previously achieved by the Cardinals' David Freese (April 29) and the Cubs' Starlin
