Began the season with the Atlanta Braves, making one appearance on Apr. 12 before being sent to Gwinnett (AAA) on May 14 where he made 12 appearances (10 starts)... Was acquired on July 14 along with Yunel Escobar in exchange for LHP Tim Collins, IF Tyler Pastornicky and SS Alex Gonzalez... QUITE THE DEBUT: In his first start with New Hampshire (AA) July 16, carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning before surrendering a one-out double... Was named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week (ending July 18) for his near no-hit performance... Was shut down for the season after his second start with the Fisher Cats with a right knee injury.

2009

Started the season with Triple-A Gwinnett before his 4/18 promotion to Atlanta...Made five Major League starts (0-2, 6.58 ERA) before moving to the bullpen for an additional appearance...Tossed 27.0 innings for Atlanta before an injury to his right hamstring landed him on the disabled list from 5/21-7/12...Made one rehab start on 6/9 before re-injuring his hamstring and was out until 7/7...Made two additional rehab starts before he was optioned back to Gwinnett for his 7/17 start.

2008

Appeared in a career-high 23 games (22 starts) and set career highs in all categories in his first year with the majority spent in the major leagues. ...Finished the season on a career-high seven-game losing streak, dating back to 6/23 vs. MIL. Had a 7.81 ERA (53.0 IP/46 ER) in 12 starts and one relief appearance during the streak. The last Brave to lose at least seven straight decisions was Marty Clary in 1990 when he lost eight. ...Atlanta lost 11 consecutive games started by Reyes from 6/23-9/19 during his losing streak (6/23-through the end of the season). It marked the first time the Braves dropped 11 consecutive games started by a particular pitcher since they lost 11 straight started by Rick Mahler spanning the 1987 and 1988 seasons. ...Jo-Jo was 2-5 with a 6.89 ERA in 11 home starts this season and 1-6 with a 4.97 ERA in 12 appearances (11 starts) on the road. ...Tailed off after the All-Star break when he was 0-3 with a 8.92 ERA in nine games. The game was 2-2 after six innings, but he allowed two eighth-inning runs. ...Pitched seven shutout innings on 5/28 at MIL before allowing a leadoff walk in the eighth that eventually scored (for the final score of 1-0). Allowed just two hits and had a career-high nine strikeouts, cutting his season ERA by a full point, from 5.84 to 4.83. ...Dropped his record to 2-2 when he suffered an 11-1 defeat to Arizona on 5/23. 2007

Made the jump from Mississippi (AA) to Richmond (AAA) to Atlanta after never pitching above Single-A. Over his last five outings (four starts) dating back to 8/26, he was 2-1 with a 3.08 ERA (9 ER/26.1 IP) with 11 walks and 19 strikeouts. Left-handed batters hit just .129 (4-for-31) and right-handed hitters hit .317 (51-for-161) off him. Had his best outing of the season in his final start on 9/28 at HOU, picking up his second career win while throwing a career-high 6.2 IP and 106 pitches in a 7-2 Atlanta win. Posted his first career win with a 4-3 victory over Florida on 9/18. Jo-Jo threw a career-high 100 pitches and fanned a career-best seven batters in 5.0 innings of work. He allowed three hits and three walks. The Braves lost each of Jo-Jo's first eight appearances (covering seven starts and one relief outing). Was recalled 8/21 from Richmond for the second time. Made five starts for Atlanta from 7/6 to 8/3. Made his first career relief appearance on 9/4 vs. PHI (3.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 4 BB) in a 5-2 loss. Had one of his best outings on 8/26 at STL, allowing just two earned runs in six innings, but lost 4-1. Went without walking a batter for the first time while fanning a then-career-best six hitters. Had a 3-0 lead after two innings at CIN on 8/21, but could not get out of the third inning, allowing five runs on five hits in just 2.2 IP. Atlanta lost the game 8-7. Left with a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning vs. STL on 7/22, but did not get a decision after the bullpen blew the lead and the Braves lost 7-2 in 10 innings. Jo-Jo allowed one run on three hits in 5.1 innings of work. Was charged with his first career loss on 7/17 vs. CIN, allowing four runs in 6.1 IP in a 6-5 loss. In his first official at-bat (he had a sacrifice bunt in his only plate appearance on 7/7), he got a pinch-hit single vs. CIN on 7/16. He finished the year 3-for-19 (.158). Made his Major League debut on 7/7 at SD in place of John Smoltz, who was placed on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation. Jo-Jo allowed one run (a solo homer) through three innings before allowing four more runs on four hits and making his exit in the fourth inning. He got a ND in the 8-5 loss. Went 8-1 with a 3.56 ERA in 13 starts at Mississippi (AA) and 4-0 with a 1.00 ERA in six starts with Richmond (combined: 12-1, 2.72 ERA). In his two starts at Richmond following his first stint with Atlanta, he went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA (13.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 12 K). Led the Braves' minor leaguers with 12 wins and was sixth with 110 K. Made his Triple-A debut on 6/10 vs. BUF in the first game of a doubleheader, getting the win (6.0 IP, 1 ER). After the start, he returned to Mississippi where he made one additional start before returning to Richmond. Won seven of his last eight starts with the M-Braves and had a seven-game winning streak active (5/3-present) at the time of his promotion. Mississippi went 12-1 in his 13 starts. Tied for the lead in the Braves' system with a combined 12 wins and finished fifth with 110 strikeouts. Collected 10 or more strikeouts in two of his last three starts with the M-Braves and led the team with 71 Ks at the time of his promotion. Was the youngest R-Braves player by three and a half months at the time of his contract purchase.

2006

Named the Rome (A) Pitcher of the Year and SAL All-Star... Led the organization with 12 wins and 142 strikeoutsand ranked 5th with 141 IP... Listed as the Braves 8th best prospect by Baseball America... Named the Rome Pitcher of the Month for May, going 4-0, with a 0.93 ERA... Was the starting pitcher in the SAL All-Star game... Promoted to Myrtle Beach (A) on June 25, where he was the Carolina Pitcher of the Week on July 7.

2005

Went 1-0 with a 1.85 ERA for the Danville Braves upon his return from Tommy John.

2004

Made 15 appearances (14 starts)at Rome (A), before being shut down due to Tommy John surgery.

2003

Named GCL Braves Pitcher of the Year... His 55 strikeouts ranked 4th in the Gulf Coast League.
