Ben Zobrist batted .276 (129-for-467) with 36 doubles, 13 homers, 56 RBI and 76 runs scored in 126 games in 2015 between Oakland and the World Champion Royals ... appeared in 67 games with the Athletics before being traded to Kansas City, July 28, where he spent the remainder of the season. Had more walks (62) than strikeouts (56) while turning in a .359 on-base percentage and a .450 slugging percentage, good for an .809 OPS, surpassing the .800 mark for the fifth season in his career. Batted .284 with a 16 doubles, a triple, seven homers and 37 runs scored in 59 games with Kansas City … recorded 18 multi-hit games with the Royals, after collecting 18 in more games with Oakland. Finished the year tied for 10th in the American League with 36 doubles, which tied for his third-highest single-season total … also ranked 15th in the A.L. with 62 walks, while his .359 on-base percentage was good for 18th in the league. Hit .329 for the year against left-handed pitching, recording a .926 OPS … batted .252 with a .753 OPS vs. righties. Named the Majestic Royals Player of the Month in August…batted .343 (35-for-102) in the month with eight doubles, four homers and 20 runs scored. Homered from both sides of the plate August 1 at Toronto, the second time in his career he accomplished the feat. Connected on his only grand slam of the year at Comerica Park on June 2 as a member of the Athletics.
