Season never quite got started as he was limited to just 33 games due to a left knee injury that eventually required season-ending surgery in June...Originally injured the knee in an exhibition game on April 1 in Los Angeles against
the Dodgers and it bothered him the entire year...Final game came on May 16 in Baltimore after re-aggravating the
injury sliding back into a base.
...Placed on the 15-day DL on May 19 with a bone bruise in his left knee and did not play again the rest of the season...
Underwent micro-fracture surgery on his left knee on June 4 in Vail, Colorado by Dr. Richard Steadman with the intention
of being ready for the beginning of the 2011 regular season...Was scratched from the lineup on April11 at Detroit with
mid-back soreness and played again 3 days later.
...On the year he made 31 starts in center field, making just 1 error in 65 total chances....Error on May 14 ended a 157-
game errorless streak dating back to 2008...Made all 31 starts in the #2 spot in the order, mainly hitting behind Asdrubal
Cabrera...At the time of his injury he was tied for second in the AL with 2 triples...Did not homer on the season, but
did homer off Detroit's Jeremy Bonderman on May 7 that was nullified by a rainout...Reached base safely in 22 of 33

Injuries took their toll on Sizemore's season, which forced him onto the disabled list for the first time in his career in May and shutdown his season four (4) weeks prematurely on Sept 4... Was placed on the disabled list on May 31 with inflammation in his left elbow, which he originally injured in spring training...At the time of
the injury he was hitting .223 (46-206) w/11 2B, 9HR & 31 RBI in 49 games (.309OB/.417SLG/.726OPS)...Following his activation on June 23 he hit .270 (62-230) w/9 2B, 5 3B, 9HR & 33 RBI in 57 games (.373OB/
.470SLG/.843OPS) to raise his average from .223 to .248...From July 3rd until his season ended on Sept. 3 he
hit .281 (56-199) with 8 2B, 4 3B, 8HR & 24RBI in 49 games (.386OB/.482SLG/.869OPS), percentages which
met or exceed the totals from his 2007 and 2008 campaigns...Had left elbow surgery on Sept. 9 at the Cleveland Clinic by Dr. Mark Schickendantz to remove the inflammation
and another surgery on Sept. 16 in Philadelphia (Dr. Bill Meyers) to address instability in his lower left
abdominal wall (athletic pubalgia) that initially shut him down in spring training for a week and bothered him
the entire regular season...The injury in spring training also forced him to withdrawal from the World Baseball
Classic....Was limited to 13 steals in 21 attempts (62%) due to the groin soreness...Had a pair of two-homer games, giving him 8 on his career (last coming on July 7 @CWS)...Also led off games
with home runs 3 times, giving him a franchise record 21 lead-off homers (Kenny Lofton is 2nd with 18)...Last
lead off HR came on August 27 at BAL...Hit his 3rd career grand slam on April 16 at New Yankee Stadium vs.
the Yankees, the first slam ever in the new park...Did not make an error in 92 games in the field (92GS in CF) and owns a 128-game errorless streak dating back

the season with 6 career HR as a professional in 1084 at bats...Finished tied for the Eastern League lead in triples

Split the season between A Brevard City and A Kinston after being acquired in late June in a 6-player deal that included Bartolo Colon...Named to the Sportsticker All-Teen Team after hitting .343 (59-172) with 9 2B, 3 3B, 3 HR & 20 RBI in 47 games with Kinston, stealing 14 bases in 21 attempts...Underwent left wrist surgery on
