Angel Maria Berroa...he and his wife Jennifer reside in Kansas City, MO with their son, Angel Luis...Jennifer is the daughter of Royals special assistant Luis Silverio...Angel participated in Baseball 101 with Buddy Bell in 2005 and 2006, which raised over $40,000 for the Down's Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City...Jennifer chaired the 2005 Royals Charities Baseball Equipment Drive which provided more than 350 baseball items to the Guadalupe Youth Center baseball program...received the Joe Burke "Special Achievement" Award in a vote by the Kansas City Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America...was originally signed by the Oakland Athletics as a non-drafted free agent on Aug. 14, 1997...signed by Santiago Villalona.

Was acquired by the Royals with Roberto Hernandez and A.J.
