Justin Mark Miller...resides in Palm Harbor, FL with wife and two children...graduated from Torrance High School (CA)...was a first-team All-State selection and Conference Player of the Year...attended Los Angeles Harbor Junior College and was a JC All-American in 1997...played in the Senior Little League World Series with Torrance in 1992.

Spent most of season with Albuquerque (AAA)...went 0-1, 1.95 (8 ER, 37.0 IP) in 32 relief appearances...had contract purchased by the Dodgers on May 27 to replace Ramon Ortiz on the roster...posted a 4.44 ERA (12 ER, 24.1 IP) in 19 games...limited opponents to a .244 average...fanned 30 batters, an average of 11.1 per nine innings... had a 3.21 ERA (5 ER, 14.0 IP) at home and held batters to a .204 average at Dodger Stadium...his ERA against the National League was 3.20 (7 ER, 19.2 IP)...designated for assignment on July 23...returned to Albuquerque on July 28.

Was first start in the Major Leagues since Sept. 28, 2002 vs. DET... May 9 vs. CWS (W, 5-2), first ML win since Sept. 28, 2002 vs. DET... May 24 vs. ANA allowed three home runs (later matched on Aug. 27 vs. NYY) and tied a club record hitting three batters... Made final start on May 30 (L, 4-2), before going on the disabled list... After returning from the DL made eight starts after making two relief outings... In those starts was 2-3 with a 7.79 ERA... Sept. 8 at ANA won 1-0, working 8.0 shutout innings of two-hit ball...
