Christopher Coleman George...Originally selected by the Kansas City Royals in the first round of the 1998 First Year Player Draft...Graduated from Klein (TX) High School in 1998...Led his team to the state title as a senior, while earning USA Today Texas State Player of the Year honors...Went 15-0 with three saves and a 1.15 ERA as a senior with 15 complete games and four shutouts...Turned down a scholarship to Rice to sign with the Royals...Earned a Gold Medal as a member of 2000 USA Olympic Baseball team in Sydney, Australia...He and his wife, Brandi, were married following the 2002 season.
2009
Began the season with Triple-A Pawtucket (Boston), going 1-0 with a 4.79 ERA (20.2IP, 11ER) in 12 relief appearances...Allowed 2 ER or fewer in 10 of his 12 appearances but allowed 4 ER twice, April 19 vs. Lehigh Valley and May 15 vs. Toledo...Pitched a season-high 3.0 scoreless innings, April 30 vs. Gwinnett County...Held left-handed hitters to a .118 average against (2-17) with a .376 OPS...Went 1-1 with a 8.22 ERA (15.1IP, 14ER) in 5 games (4 starts) for the Mexico City Red Devils...Allowed 12 ER in his first 2 starts (4.1IP) but pitched to a 1.64 ERA (11.0IP, 2ER) in his final 3 appearances...Joined Triple-A Norfolk for 5 starts to end the season, going 1-1 with a 1.86 ERA (29.0IP, 6ER)...Allowed 4 ER in 4.0 IP in his first start for the Tides before allowing 2 ER in 25.0 IP in his final 4 starts

Began the season with Triple-A Colorado Springs, going 0-4 with a 5.13 ERA in 27 games...Went 1-2 with a 6.55 ERA in 22 games with Triple-A Syracuse to end the season...Went 1-2 with a 2.45 ERA in 8 games with Aguilas in the Mexican Winter League.
2007
Spent his second straight season with Triple-A Albuquerque, posting a 7-11 record and a 5.56 ERA (139.1 ip, 86 er) in 26 games/starts...eight of his 26 outings were quality starts...earned his first win of the season in his first start of the year on April 5 vs. Omaha, tossing 5.0 innings and allowing just 2 runs on 6 hits...tossed three straight quality starts from May 6-17, going 1-1 during that span with a 0.95 ERA (19.0 ip, 2 er)...lost 5 consecutive decisions, including 4 straight starts from June 23-Aug. 13, rising season figure from 4.26 to 5.78 during that stretch.
2006
Went 5-6 with 5.62 ERA in 22 games (19 starts) with Albuquerque (AAA)...Won four of his last five starts while striking out 30 batters in 27.2 innings...logged the third most starts on the Isotopes' staff (19) despite missing nearly a month due to a stay on the Disabled List...Had to leave his May 4 start against Omaha after one inning with back soreness and was placed on the DL on May 11...reinstated on June 2...Earned his first win of the season on April 29 at Oklahoma after allowing three runs on six hits through six innings...lost his next five decisions from June 17 to Aug. 1...began the season with two straight relief appearances on April 8 and April 13...made first start on April 18 vs. Iowa...Allowed just six home runs in 107.1 innings-pitched, lowest among Isotopes starters...went a team-high 33.0 consecutive innings without yielding a homer (July 2 to August 5)...was dominant against Nashville on Aug. 29 at Isotopes Park, allowing one run on five hits through 6.1 innings while walking three and striking out six...also added a 2x3 day at the plate with a RBI-triple...belted first home run of his professional career on July 21 at New Orleans, becoming third different Isotopes pitcher to hit one on the season.
2005
Spent season at Omaha (AAA) in the Kansas City Royals organization, appearing in 32 games, (20 starts), going 8-8 with a 5.63 ERA...set a career-high in games (32) and innings (147.0)...began the season as a starter, but was moved to the bullpen on July 28, where he set a career high for relief appearances with 12...finished the season 5-7 as a starter but 3-1 as a reliever...was 7-2 with a 5.05 ERA on the road, but 1-6 with a 6.20 ERA at home...did not win his first home game until Aug. 31 against Iowa when he gave up one run on four hits in 4.1 innings of relief work...was 3-1 with a 3.38 ERA in June, but went 2-4 the rest of the season...finished tied with three other pitchers for most home runs allowed in the Pacific Coast League with 27.
2004
Went 1-2 with a 7.23 ERA in 10 games (7 starts) for KC in 2004...posted a 6.88 ERA in his seven starts, while logging a 9.00 ERA in the first three relief outings of his big league career...Started the season at Omaha (AAA)...went 1-3 with a 2.32 ERA in eight games (7 starts) for Omaha prior to his promotion...Recalled from Omaha on June 1 and made his 2004 debut that day, taking a no decision after allowing three runs on seven hits in 6.2 innings in a 5-3 Royals win at Detroit...Recorded no decisions in his first two starts of 2004, June 1 at Detroit and June 6 vs. Boston, marking the first time in his career that he has taken no decisions in two consecutive starts...Won his only game of 2004 at Philadelphia on June 18, allowing nine hits and four runs in 6.2 innings in KC's 10-4 victory...Optioned to Omaha on June 24...recalled on July 23 in order to start the first game of the doubleheader at Cleveland...suffered the loss, allowing 10 runs on 11 hits in 3.0 innings...was optioned to Omaha between the games of the doubleheader...Made his nal start vs. Chicago on Sept. 30, taking a no-decision in KC's 9-2 loss (4.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER)...allowed a homer to Juan Uribe in the fourth inning, marking his only home run allowed in 2004.
2003
Made the Opening Day roster for the first time in his career...Began the season 4th in KC's starting rotation...Went 9-6 for Kansas City with a 7.11 ERA, making 18 starts and tossing a career-high 93.2 innings...Allowed 120 hits, 74 earned runs and 22 home runs on the year...Also walked 44 batters and struck out 39...Finished second on the team in wins with nine, despite spending the majority of the season in Omaha (AAA)...Was optioned to Omaha on July 11...Went 3-5 with a 7.29 ERA in 10 games for Omaha, allowing 71 hits and 44 ER in 54.1 innings of work...Opened the season with back-to-back wins, allowing just three earned runs in 12.0 innings for a 2.25 ERA.
2002
Began the season with Omaha (AAA) and was recalled by Kansas City on April 19...Made six starts for the Royals and went 0-4...Compiled a 5.60 ERA after allowing 37 hits and 17 ER in 27.1 innings...Saw his losing streak reach seven games dating back to 2001...Was placed on the Disabled List on May 17 with a split fingernail on his left middle finger...Was reinstated from the DL and optioned to Omaha on June 18...Spent the remainder of the season with Omaha.
2001
Went 11-3 with a 3.53 ERA in 20 starts at Omaha (AAA)...Won his last seven decisions for the Golden Spikes, recording a 4.41 ERA (49 IP, 24 ER)...Logged a 1.89 ERA in his six May starts at Omaha...Was the starter and winner (2.0 IP) in the Futures Game at Safeco Field during the All-Star Break and was selected to the Triple-A All-Star Game...Had his contract purchased by the Royals on July 26...Lost his first major league start (5.0IP, 6H, 3ER, 2BB, 2K) that same day at Seattle, 3-0...Was the only left-handed starter to throw for the Royals in 2001 and was the first since Jose Rosado on April 30, 2000...Dropped his first three starts, compiling a 9.24 ERA (12.1IP, 13ER)...Recorded his first major league win on August 11 vs. Detroit, 4-1, his fourth career start, throwing 7.0 innings and facing just two batters over the minimum...Won three of four starts from August 28-September 20, going 3-1 with a 5.18 ERA (24.1IP, 26H, 14ER)...Tagged with a 2-1 loss at Detroit on October 6 (game two) in his last start of the season, despite allowing two runs on four hits...Became the youngest KC pitcher to throw a complete game since Jose Rosado (age 21, vs. TOR on Aug. 19, 1996).
