Wade is in his first season with the Cubs ... he signed with the club in January 2006 ... enters the 2006 season with a 59.0-percent winning percentage (62-43) and a 3.98 career ERA ... matched a Houston club record with a 12-game winning streak July 7-September 21, 2002 - and tied Anaheim's Jarrod Washburn for the longest streak in the majors that year ... has given up 2 or fewer earned runs in 69 of his starts and 3 or fewer earned runs in 98 of his big league starts ... was named National League Pitcher of the Month in April 2002 ... was selected by the Astros in the 20th round of the 1996 draft out of Alvernia College (PA) ... has seen major league action with the Houston Astros (1999-2004) and Boston (2005).
2006
Miller spent most of the season rehabbing from arthroscopic surgery in late September 2005. He made five starts, including a loss Sept. 19 to Philadelphia when he struck out eight over 4 2/3 innings. Miller did not pick up a win; he has not won since Aug. 3, 2005, against Kansas City.
1996
Went 4-5 with a combined 3.95 ERA in his first 13 professional games ... saw action with the Astros Gulf Coast Rookie affiliate and with the Auburn (A) of the New York Penn League.
1997
Split the year between Quad City (A) and Kissimmee (A), going 15-5 with a 2.38 ERA ... struck out 126 batters in 159.0 innings, issued just 24 walks and held opponents to a .209 average ... went 10-2 with a 1.80 ERA in 14 starts for Kissimmee.
1998
Saw action at Double-A for the first time in his career, going 5-0 with a 2.32 ERA in 10 starts for Jackson.
2005
Wade spent much of the season on the disabled list with right-shoulder problems ... underwent right shoulder surgery following the season ... was 4-4 with a 4.95 ERA in 16 games ... was on the DL March 25-May 8 and August 9-end of the season ... made four minor league rehabilitation starts before being activated in May, recording a 2.66 ERA ... made his Red Sox debut May 8 against Seattle, but did not figure in the decision ... earned his first win in the junior circuit - and his first since June 20, 2004 - leading the Red Sox to a 4-3 victory over Atlanta on May 20 ... surrendered 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks as he struck out 5 ... recorded his ninth career multi-hit game on June 11 at Wrigley Field, going 2-for-3 ... was the first Red Sox pitcher to have 2 or more hits in a game since Sonny Siebert in September 1972.
2004
Wade went 7-7 with a 3.35 ERA - but missed the second half of the season with right shoulder tendinitis ... held opponents to a .228 average ... worked 6.0 or more innings in 9 of his 15 starts ... gave up just 2 hits in an 11-1 defeat of St. Louis on April 14 ... pitched 7.0 frames and struck out 4 batters ... combined on a 3-0 shutout of Seattle on June 9, allowing 5 hits over 6.0 innings.
2003
Posted his third consecutive double-digit winning season, going 14-13 in 33 starts ... worked 6.0 or more innings in 21 starts ... limited opponents to a .242 average - including a .227 mark by right-handed batters ... threw his fifth career complete game on May 30 at Wrigley Field, throwing a 2-hitter in a 9-1 defeat of the Cubs. u the 2-hitter was a career-best ... also fanned a career-high 14 batters in the contest ... had his greatest success of the year in August, as he went 4-1 with a 1.69 ERA in his five starts. u struck out 32 batters in 32.0 innings on the mound and held the opponents to a .207 average - as he gave up just 24 hits ... earned his 50th career win September 12 against St. Louis, allowing 2 runs in 6.0 innings. u also notched a pair of doubles and drove in a career-high 4 runs in the 14-5 win ... threw a 6-0 combined shutout on September 18 at Coors Field ... worked 6.1 innings, allowing 2 hits and fanning 7 batters.

Recorded the best winning percentage of his career (.789), going 15-4 with a 3.28 ERA ... won a career-high 12 straight games from July 7- September 21. u had a 1.93 ERA (22 ER/102.1 IP) over the 15-game span ... struck out 97 batters and issued walks while limiting the opponents to a .213 average ... the streak tied a franchise mark and tied Anaheim's Jarrod Washburn for the longest streak in the majors in 2002 ... worked 6.0 or more innings in 18 of his starts and had a 1.99 ERA in those contests ... missed eight starts due to a pinched nerve in his neck, as he was on the disabled list April 13-May 29 ... fanned a season-high 10 batters on September 10 in an 11-4 defeat of Colorado ... participated in three combined shutouts, throwing 7.0 scoreless innings on June 15 against Texas, 5.0 scoreless innings July 28 against Pittsburgh and 8.0 scoreless innings September 21 at St. Louis ... had a 1.42 ERA in the month of September, going 3-1 with 36 strikeouts in 38.0 innings ... hurled his first career complete-game shutout on September 15 against St. Louis ... gave up just 3 hits in the game and struck out 9 batters.

Opened the year at New Orleans (AAA), but spent the second half of the season with Houston ... was promoted to the big league club after posting a 3.67 ERA in 16 games (15 starts) ... was recalled on July 7 and spent the rest of the season in the Astros' starting rotation ... earned the first win of his big league career on July 22, working 8.0 innings in a 10-5 defeat of St. Louis ... struck out 9 batters in the game ... worked 6.0 or more innings in 11 of his 16 starts ... took a no-hitter into the seventh inning August 18 at Milwaukee ...
