Aaron Elmer Sele graduated from North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo, Wash. in 1988...Attended Washington State University in Pullman, Wash. where he pitched three seasons for the Cougars...Named First Team All America by the American Baseball Coaches Association and a Third Team choice by *Baseball America* in 1990...Was a member of Team USA in the summer of 1990 pitching a three-hit shutout vs. the Cuba National Team...Sponsors the Aaron Sele Scholarship Fund at Washington State University.

Made a career-high 34 relief outings...Retired the first two batters he faced on September 23rd at Florida to notch his first hold of the year...Pitched a scoreless 15th and 16th inning and was the winning pitcher in the Mets' 5-3, 17-inning win at Houston...Tossed 3.0 innings and didn't allow an earned run, to pick up the win on July 19th at Los Angeles...Hurled 1.1 scoreless frames on April 28th at Washington to earn the win in New York's 6-2, 12-inning triumph...Tossed a career-high and a bullpen season-high 4.1 innings of relief on April 11th vs. Philadelphia...Allowed four earned runs over 15.2 innings (2.30 ERA) from July 4th - August 7th...Stranded 18 of 24 inherited runners.

Went to Spring Training with the Dodgers as a non-roster invitee...His contract was purchased from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League on May 5...Was 3-0 with a 2.43 ERA (eight earned runs/29.2 innings) in five starts at Las Vegas prior to his purchase...Was 3-0 with a 2.33 ERA in six starts, giving him a combined 6-0 record and a 2.37 ERA (18 earned runs/68.1 innings) to begin the season...Was 7-2 with a 4.00 ERA at Dodger Stadium, striking out 40 and walking 13...Won his first start as a Dodger on May 7, going 6.2 innings and allowing one run and five hits to turn back Milwaukee, 10-2...Defeated the Angels on May 19, giving him 19 career victories in Interlegue play to tie him for the most in the Major League history with Greg Maddux, Freddy Garcia and Mike Mussina...Went 3-0 with a 2.20 ERA (eight earned runs/32.2 innings) while holding batters to a .218 average in five starts in May...Through his first 11 starts, he went 6-2 with a 2.91 ERA (21 earned runs/65.0 innings)...Made his sixth career relief appearance on July 1 at Anaheim...Struck out a season-high seven batters on July 9 vs. San Francisco to turn back the Giants, 3-1...Won three straight starts from June 24-July 9 with a 1.50 ERA (three earned runs/18.0 innings)...Eleven of his final 12 appearances came in relief.
