Dodgers sign Ricky Vanasco

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to terms on a one-year contract with right-handed pitcher Ricky Vanasco. 

Vanasco, 25, returns for his second stint with the Dodgers’ organization after being traded for left-handed pitcher Luis Valdez on June 1, 2023. He made 25 appearances between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City, going 1-4 with a 1.24 ERA (4 ER/29.0 IP) and 42 strikeouts. He pitched in two games for Double-A Frisco prior to being activated from the injured list and traded to the Dodgers, allowing six runs in 2.1 innings with two strikeouts. In his minor league career, the Florida native has posted a 3.46 ERA (80 ER/208.0 IP) with 279 strikeouts in 79 games (40 starts).  He was originally drafted in the 15th round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of Williston High School (FL).
