Somehow, Yadier Molina caught this foul tip in his lap

Yadier Molina is a defensive magician. He's won eight straight Gold Gloves during his 15-year career and, already, he ranks 23rd on the all-time list for dWAR. Look at this man make a difficult double play look like a walk in the ole baseball park:

And although we knew his glove was golden, we had no idea that his lap was also of the same ilk. During Tuesday's Padres-Cardinals game, Eric Hosmer tipped a hard fastball backwards and, well, just look:

Molina caught that third strike on his thigh. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised with his non-mitt defensive powers.
