If you enjoy Willians Astudillo, then you're going to love his brother, Wilfred, who is eerily similar
Baseball has been lucky enough to grace us with Astudillo's presence, but it's too bad that he's the only one.
We've checked our records, and it turns out that Yoda is right. There is another Astudillo and his name is Wilfred.
Since the younger Astudillo is in the Mets' organization, the SNY broadcast discussed Wilfred during the Twins-Mets game on Wednesday. Signed back in July 2016, the 19-year-old Wilfred split last season between the Dominican Summer League and the Gulf Coast League. He's not much for striking out either, fanning in just 13 of 151 plate appearances in 2018.
Given that statistic, it shouldn't be a surprise that the two Astudillos have nearly identical approaches:
Uncanny!
Fingers crossed that we get both Astudillos on the same team one day. That would be the dream.
