A dog named Manny Machado took home Best of Breed at the Westminster Dog Show
We remain one agonizing day away from Spring Training, and with a three-day weekend thanks to Presidents Day, Adam Jones found himself with some free time. Like any patriotic American, Jones chose to spend it watching a bunch of TV -- specifically the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, where he noticed something peculiar:
So someone at the #WKCDogShow had a dog named Manny Machado? Impressive.

Yes, Adam, your eyes didn't deceive you; there really was a dog named Manny Machado. He's a Xoloitzcuintli (also known as a Mexican Hairless Dog, one of the oldest breeds in the world and the oldest in the Americas), and he even took home Best of Breed -- meaning he was the finest Xoloitzcuintli at the show. And, befitting both a world-class dog and All-Star third baseman, he's got quite a noble look:

While we're very proud of Manny, we can't help but wonder what heights he could have reached with Buck Showalter and his many inspirational sayings to help coach him along.
