Western Illinois' Steve McShane defied gravity to make an amazing grab
Gravity is supposed to keep human beings on the ground. But when there's a baseball flying through the air in direct defiance of the natural order of things, Western Illinois University outfielder Steve McShane knows he can't be bound to the turf. So, in the bottom of the eighth of WIU's game against Middle Tennessee on Sunday, McShane went fully airborne to rob Austin Dennis of extra bases:

Unfortunately, McShane's leap only temporarily defeated gravity, and he had to eventually come back down. Somehow, the left fielder and football running back held onto it.
Though WIU would lose the game, 11-7, McShane also did his best at the plate. The outfielder went 3-for-5, proving that biting your bat is a good idea for collecting hits:

Gotta give props to Steve McShane for that diving catch deep in left field. #W1U pic.twitter.com/JB0WDaJJlO
