The West Michigan Whitecaps are offering 'Puppy Ticket Delivery' for Opening Day -- yes, really
You may remember the West Michigan Whitecaps as the Tigers' Class A affiliate that plays its home games at Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park, Mich. The Whitecaps are also the club that paid homage to Han Solo's Carbonite period with a fantastic theme night last season.
Well, for their latest act of brilliance, the Whitecaps will be (and the following is a lot to take in, so you may want to sit down lest you be overcome with smiling) offering something called "Puppy Ticket Delivery" in celebration of National Puppy Day (yes, it's a thing) on Thursday. It's simple: Buy tickets to their Opening Night game against the South Bend Cubs on April 6, and a puppy will deliver it to you.
Tomorrow is the day! Get your Opening Day tickets and have them delivered by a puppy.

Yes, please. A thousand times yes.
The fine print is listed on the Whitecaps' website, and unforunately anybody outside a 15-mile radius of Fifth Third Ballpark won't be able to experience the absolute joy of an adorable puppy nestled in a basket (since it's fun to imagine a puppy in a festively-colored basket nuzzling a pair of tickets) showing up at your doorstop for a visit.
Just imagine this, but with baseball tickets:
Next order of business, now that the Whitecaps have no doubt added themselves to the ever-growing list of stellar Minor League Baseball team promotions with this news: Making "Puppy Ticket Delivery" a national phenomenon.
