This A's fan proves luck is always on your side when snagging a foul ball
A fan's catch in the stands requires a mixture of luck, being in the right place at the right time, and of course, some defensive skills. When the A's defeated the Rangers 8-3 on Saturday, one fan proved he possessed each of those characteristics.
Jed Lowrie hit a fly ball into the stands off a Tony Barnette offering into the stands, where a young fan stretched to snag the ball while sporting a Luck of the Irish hat. Nobody at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum was as excited as he was.
It seems karma was on his side.
