Watch Danny Duffy's moving video to honor the Royals' dearly departed Rally Mantis

The Rally Mantis is dead. Long live the Rally Mantis.
The stoic bug was the Royals' unofficial insect mascot of the past week, leading the team to comeback wins and a 5-1 record over that span, and inspiring dedicated fan tributes.

But despite the team's best efforts …

The mantis has rallied its last game on this earth. It passed away in the visitor's clubhouse at Target Field on Friday, according to The Kansas City Star's Rustin Dodd.
Words surely cannot express how the Royals must be feeling this weekend. So, Danny Duffy, via Dillon Gee, made this video to honor their departed friend:

A moving tribute, indeed.
Alas, the Royals dropped their game on Saturday to the Twins, 5-3. They just have to remember: No matter what happens, the Rally Mantis will always be with them.
In their hearts.
