Andrelton Simmons fakes throw to second, gets out
There's less than a week of the regular season left, and so there are a rapidly dwindling number of opportunities for Andrelton Simmons to remind everyone that he is capable of defensive genius that makes Mozart's compositions look plebeian.
On a routine groundout during the first inning of Wednesday's matchup against the Nationals, he took such an opportunity:

Before throwing to Nick Swisher to nab Trea Turner at first -- because of course Simmons got the out -- he sent a ghost throw to second, striking fear cold into Anthony Rendon's heart. It'd be unfair, Simmons toying with baserunners like that, if it wasn't so glorious to witness.
So, just in case you don't get a chance to watch Simmons again before the season ends and momentarily forget what he's capable of: Let that pump fake stay burned into your memory for the entirety of the offseason.
