Watch this softball player sacrifice her face to the fence to make an amazing catch
Baseball and softball aren't considered contact sports. For that reason, players don't need to wear facemasks like they do in hockey and football. But outfielder A.J. Andrews of the fastpitch softball team Akron Racers may need to reconsider.
In the bottom of the second inning, Chelsea Goodcre hit the ball to deep right field. Racing back, Andrews leapt and made the grab. Only problem: Newton's law of motion. For Andrews, that meant her face going straight into the fence.

Fortunately, she held onto the ball. Sadly, despite the cranial sacrifice, Akron lost, 4-1.
