The Phillie Phanatic fired his hot dog gun at defenseless pig mascot

On Monday night, the Phillie Phanatic cruelly reminded this pig of his own mortality. It was Dollar Dog Night at Citizens Bank Park, and the Phanatic was armed with his hot dog gun. Perhaps provoked by the pig's smug resemblance to an actual living animal, he aimed at him and fired:

All in good fun, you might say, watching the pig recover without injury. But remember, the gun fires hot dogs, the tubed pork product that has likely been the end of many of the pig's friends and family, and represents his own ultimate destiny. Acknowledge your fate, whispers the Phanatic, for you have no other.
