At 44 years old, Manny Ramirez is making a comeback in professional baseball with the Kochi Island Fighting Dogs of the independent Shikoku Island League in Japan. Earlier this week, details of his, uh, unique contract leaked and let's just say, it seems like the unlimited sushi and "optional" practices are working:
That's video of Ramirez -- wearing No. 99, of course -- launching a long double to center field on Thursday and proving he still very much has it.
If any MLB teams watched that and started thinking maybe Manny could contribute as a designated hitter in 2017, they'd better start amassing the unlimited sushi now.
