Freddie Freeman is destroying Citi Field -- literally
Not content simply to break the hearts of Mets fans with his power, Freddie Freeman has shifted his focus to breaking Citi Field itself.
During the second inning of Wednesday's Mets-Braves game, Freeman fouled a Jeremy Hefner offering directly toward a camera behind home plate, shattering the protective glass.
While the broadcasters wondered aloud if Freeman should have to pay to replace the glass, it seems unlikely that the Mets would make him do that. After all, the last Braves player to tear up Queens got a nice painting for his efforts.
