30 ballparks in 30 days -- Mariners fans attempting the impossible
Many baseball fans dream about seeing a game at all 30 MLB ballparks during their lifetime. It's a classic bucket list idea -- getting to mark off the stadiums one by one in a scrapbook or on a map. For these two diehard fans, however, that lifelong journey is getting crammed into 30 nights.
Meet Joe Wolter and Griffin Ranck: two huge baseball fans who decided to attend all 30 Major League parks in 30 straight days. Obviously, it takes a lot of organization to plan such a trip, made more difficult by the fact that the feat is not necessarily possible every year.
So far, Wolter and Ranck have attended 21 of the 30 Major League parks -- taking in Minute Maid Park in Houston on Saturday night. On Sunday, they'll head north to Arlington for game No. 22 at Rangers Ballpark.
Both Mariners fans say that this trip was the first time they've been able to see their team on the road. They won't have to wait too long to get back to Safeco, however -- they'll get to see the Mariners at home for game No. 28 before finishing their journey in the Bay Area.
