Josh Donaldson will appear on "Vikings," which explains that whole braid mohawk thing

Back in December, reigning American League MVP Josh Donaldson left us speechless with his new haircut:

The baseball world could only speculate: What does he call that thing? How does he wash it? What did it mean for the man-bun? Thankfully, on Thursday we finally began to get some answers.
It was simply preparation for Donaldson's upcoming role as a literal viking:

It's unclear what role Donaldson will play in the next season of History Channel's "Vikings" -- a fictional drama about a group of Viking raiders -- but if the recently released teaser for season four is any indication, he'll hopefully go full Leonardo DiCaprio and fight a bear:

You only have a few weeks to wait, since "Vikings" begins its fourth season on Feb. 18.
