Pitcher Trent Thornton put on catcher's gear and did blocking drills on foul balls
What do starting pitchers do to break the monotony of the four days or so between games? Blue Jays right-hander
Rather than just sit there staring blankly, like so many baseball dudes do when they're not going to partake in the game on a given day or night, Thornton strapped on some catching gear and worked on some fielding drills.
And by that, I mean he showed some great blocking skills on a foul ball that rolled its way toward the dugout.
