These identical twins are highly regarded prospects in both of their organizations

Alex and Lachlan Wells are brothers -- identical twins to be more specific, and beyond their looks they have other similarities.
You see, the Wells boys, 20, are both highly respected prospects for each of the organizations they play in. Alex is a southpaw pitcher for the Delmarva Shorebirds, the Class A affiliate of the Orioles, while Lachlan is spending his pitching days with the Ft. Myers Miracle Class A Advanced affiliate for the … if you can believe it … Twins.
According to Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline, Lachlan was No. 26 on the Twins preseason list, but didn't quite make the cut once the list was re-ranked on Tuesday. He is also currently on the DL, but could easily pitch his way back on the list in the future. Lachlan spent some time playing in the World Baseball Classic for Australia, where he pitched well. His former teammate Todd Van Steensel spent time with him both on the WBC team and with the Miracle and said he has watched him mature.

"He's like a little brother to me now," Van Steensel told MLB.com. "We would hang out every day at the WBC and during Spring Training. We've been playing [together for a while] so I've watched him develop from a goofy lefty with really good stuff to a very complete pitcher."
The talent continues with Alex. He's listed No. 16 on MLB Pipeline's Orioles prospect list and has yet to give up a run this month. He's currently boasting a 2.42 ERA with 84 strikeouts in 108 innings. He also came close to throwing a no-hitter recently, and impresses his pitching coach Justin Lord on a daily basis.
"He's shown the ability to pitch and he does what you want to see young pitchers do," Lord told MiLB.com. "He changes speed, throws strikes and he stays in control. That's a huge part to his development and he's putting himself in position for future success."

Lachlan was signed in 2014 by the Twins, a year before Alex, but it seems the two have a close relationship, and we doubt there are two other prospects who are pulling for each other more than the Wells brothers.
