The real Patriots controversy: Tom Brady says Derek Jeter is his favorite athlete

With most of the NFL world still talking about Deflate-gate, there's a new controversy for New England Patriots fans: who Tom Brady's favorite athlete is. 

While speaking at Super Bowl Media Day, Brady listed Derek Jeter first:

Which is a fine choice for 99 percent of athletes out there, but as a Boston star, there are only three worse answers he could have given: Bucky Dent, Aaron Boone, or King George (if he was a polo player circa the year 1776).

In fairness to Brady, he also listed Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and LeBron James among his favorites, but there's no coming back from this answer unless he revises it to this:
