Steven Souza didn't catch this foul ball, but he did get to say hello to some Blue Jays fans

In recent years, players from Chicago to Toronto have been willing to put their bodies on the line and their face in a bunch of nacho cheese to chase down a foul ball. Rays right fielder Steven Souza Jr. has watched these heroes from afar, waiting for his chance -- and, during Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, it appeared he finally got it.
In the bottom of the second, Troy Tulowitzki lifted a fly ball down the right-field line. It kept on drifting into foul territory, headed just to the other side of the railing at Rogers Centre. This was Souza's moment. So he measured the spot, take a step and leapt ... and came up juuuuust a bit short:

Cheer up, Steven: It could be worse, there could have been beers involved.
